How do we live in these tense days and yet find happiness, purpose and usefulness? That is the deep concern of everyone.  The days in which we live are days of confusion, perplexity, bewilderment, uncertainty, and disillusionment.  They are crucial days for all of us.  King Solomon, one of the wisest men in history and the writer of the book of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, tried almost every avenue under the sun in search of happiness.  At the end he writes “vanity of vanities...all is vanity.” 

Christians who mean business in their spiritual lives, can achieve success if they follow the Word of God.  Three things that secure a bright future for the children of God are outlined:

• A walk that pleases God
• A serious commitment
• Contentment with what we have
