Sermon 04/26/2015
Submitting to God's Will
Adel Akl Jonah 1:1-3, 8-12
With all of the violence and depravity in the world today, do you find yourself asking for God’s vengeance upon the perpetrators of these acts? The prophet Jonah lived in such times as well, feeling the same frustrations.

Despite the fact that the Assyrians were huge enemies of the Jews, God requested Jonah to go to there and preach His Word. Jonah’s immediate reaction was to flee from God’s presence, but because God loved Jonah so much, He interceded and did not allow Jonah to destroy himself.

God always gives a second chance. The love and grace of God will overpower anything we may have planned for ourselves. Are you travelling in the opposite direction than God called you? Do you want God's plan for your life?
