Sermon 08/01/2010

It has been said that a person would rather see a sermon than hear one. As such, believers are called to live consecrated and separated lives.

Today's message highlights three important characteristics each believer should model as we await the Lord's return:

1. Live an exemplary and truthful life. Any compromise will void our testimony for Christ. Our lives and conduct must be a godly examples to others.
2. Avoid idols. Placing anything or anyone (including ourselves) ahead of the Lord is a sin. We must maintain our loyalty to our God first.
3. Abounding in love -- godly love is an outward love not an inward one

As followers of Christ, we must live sober and clean lives. Although we live in this world, we must not take part in the sins of this world. Living in anticipation of Christ's comming will prove to be the best path.
