When Anxiety Blurs Our Life's Focus
Hugo Santucci Matthew 6:19-34
One of the greatest inhibitors of a Godly focus on life is anxiety. Many today seek the assistance of a counselor or therapist. In the review of today's Scripture reading, we note what our priorities should be and where our focus needs to be in order to be free from the trap of anxiety. Three questions are asked:
  1. Where do you bank (heavenly treasures or earthly riches)?
  2. Where is your focus?
  3. Who is your boss (to whom do you listen)?
Although God provides and instructs us not to be anxious, believers still experience troubles as a result of being in this world. Freedom from anxiety is not a guarantee of freedom from troubles; however, He promises to never leave us nor forsake us.
